About the wine:
This wine (predominately Merlot) is a deep ruby red in colour, with alluring aromas of ripe red cherry, cassis and a hint of liquorice. The palate is full-bodied with silky, ripe tannins. Concentrated flavours of ripe red fruits, tobacco and graphite are balanced by a lifted acidity.
Garnet color, ripe red fruits, scents of oak offered by vanilla, toffee, and toast matched with graceful texture and tannins.
Cultivation
Grapes harvested by machine. By choosing a precise time to start harvest based on rainfall, the grapes reach the vat as quickly as possible in the perfect state of maturity. They are sorted on a sorting table before put in the tank for a long maceration.
Aging
Aged 12-18 months in barrels before being bottled.
About the producer:
Château Macquin is located just three kilometres north of Saint-Émilion, in the small village of Saint-Georges, the smallest of all Bordeaux appellations (180 hectares). However, at its peak of 89 metres above sea level, Saint-Georges enjoys one of the best elevations on the right bank, giving the wines freshness and concentration. The south facing vines are planted on clay and limestone soils and range from 15 to 60 years old. The vines are sustainably farmed, without the use of herbicides, fertilisers, or other harmful chemicals.
Less than 200 ha, the appellation Saint Georges-Saint Emilion is the smallest appellation close to the Saint Emilion appelation. Chateau Macquin was created by Albert Macquin, first agronomic engineer to plant again after the philloxera of the late 19th century. It is a 31 ha vineyard, mainly merlot planted, giving strong wines, generous, almost as famous as Saint Emilion wines.

Returns
The stock is constantly changing. It is not managed entirely by us since we're involved with several parties such as the factory and our storage. The actual inventory can change at any moment. You may not receive your order after it's been placed.
Our policy lasts for a period of 30 days. If you don't receive your product within the 30 days period, we are not able to issue the option of a refund or exchange.
In order for your item to be considered eligible for return the item must not be opened and in the same state as you received it in. It must also be in the original package.
